Arduino Shield Contest

If you’re a student in the US, and have a valid .edu email address, you can submit a project proposal for creating a PSoC Creator component to interface your favorite Arduino shield. All shields and proposals will be considered, as long as the shield is publically available for purchase.

Upon acceptance of your proposal, you will receive a complementary freeSoC development board for prototype development, and we expect you in good faith to complete your proposed project within a reasonable (3 month) timeframe. All projects must be released under an open-source license (your choice), and must make their code available on github. Upon completion of the project, your code will be pushed to the freeSoC github repository for others to use.

Send your abstract to freesoc@freesoc.net to be considered for the contest.

About freeSoC

freeSoC is a microcontroller platform based around the Cypress Programmable System on a Chip microcontroller, PSoC 5LP. It simplifies prototyping by providing a graphical design environment for component-level design, coupled with well documented C APIs for each component. Instead of buying a new chip every time you need extra functionality, freeSoC has everything you need, right out of the box.
